Bangkok, Thailand — The Hotel Design Summit Thailand #HDST will take place on May 13, 2026, at the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok, as part of the opening day of the 5th Hospitality Thailand Conference #HTC2026. The dedicated summit will bring together architects, designers, developers, and hospitality leaders to explore how thoughtful design is shaping the next generation of hotels across Thailand and the wider region.
As hotels compete to deliver more immersive and memorable guest experiences, design has become a strategic driver of brand identity, operational performance, and long-term asset value. #HDST will examine how architecture, interiors, technology, and sustainability are converging to redefine hospitality spaces in an increasingly experience-driven market.
The summit program will feature panel sessions and solo presentations across six specialized tracks, offering structured discussions around key design priorities in hospitality development.
The Brand Vision & Design Track will explore how hospitality brands translate identity and positioning into architecture and interiors while remaining relevant to different markets. The Future-Forward Design & Sustainability Track will focus on new materials, technologies, and environmentally responsible approaches shaping the next generation of hotels.
The Experience Lab Track will examine how sensory elements such as lighting, sound, and spatial design influence guest perception and experience. Meanwhile, the Smart & Seamless Design Track will discuss how technology can be integrated into hotel environments to enhance operations and guest comfort.
Beyond interiors, the Exterior Aesthetics & Landscape Track will look at how building form and outdoor environments shape the overall identity of hotel properties. Complementing this, the Interior Design & Storytelling Track will focus on creating guest-centric spaces that reflect brand narratives, local culture, and craftsmanship.
Across these tracks, sessions will address a wide range of topics shaping hospitality design today. Discussions will include Designing Brand DNA: Translating Hospitality Brands into Physical Space, Brand Evolution: Refreshing Legacy Hospitality Brands, and Innovation in Materials and Systems: Building Future-Resilient Hotels.
Sustainability will also take center stage with sessions such as Net-Zero & Carbon-Conscious Hotel Design, while experience-driven hospitality will be explored through discussions including Multi-Sensory Design: Turning Spaces into Memorable Experiences and Story-Led Design for Destination Hotels.
Technology integration will be examined through panels such as The Intelligent Hotel: Merging Design with Technology for Strategic Advantage, Invisible Tech: Integrating IoT Without Design Compromise, and Smart Rooms & Adaptive Lighting.
The program will also highlight the importance of place and cultural identity through sessions including Contextual Design: Urban vs Resort Strategies for Maximum Impact, Outdoor Wellness & Landscape Integration, Narrative Interiors: Translating Brand and Culture into Guest-Centric Spaces, and Designing with Thai Craft & Cultural Narrative.
By bringing together these conversations, the Hotel Design Summit Thailand #HDST aims to equip hospitality stakeholders with insights and inspiration to create hotels that are visually compelling, culturally meaningful, and future-ready.
