The Chief Enabler & Strategist, Patrick takes with him almost 20 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industry. He started his hotel career with an international chain hotel in two locations in the Philippines and thereafter joined the Philippines’ first Filipino hotel chain to become its Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a youthful age of 28. Patrick saw the growth of the Filipino hotel chain from 4 to 10 hotels totaling about 800 rooms in a span of 8 years. He is adept in all facets of hospitality and travel operations and is well-versed on the dynamics of the tourism industry. He is currently leading a team of hotel professionals in managing four (4) hotels/resorts, conceptualizing, pre-opening, full management and the turn key of eight (8) independent hotel projects in the Philippines.
Patrick is foremost an educator and loves to train hotel professionals. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, a Post Graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines, Diliman and is a Tourism major from the Asian Institute of Tourism (AIT) of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Patrick is considered by many as a visionary with keen business acumen and passionate entrepreneurial spirit.
Soon, along with several sponsors, Patrick will be launching the Philippines’ first hotel school for the less privileged – School of Service (S.O.S Foundation).
In 2011 (up until now), Patrick was tasked to be the tourism business sector adviser for the Canadian Government funded Local Governance Support Program for Local Economic Development (LGSP-LED) covering tourism projects in the Philippines (Panglao, Ormoc, Metro Naga, Allah Valley, Iloilo-Guimaras, Batangas, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Palawan, Aklan, Bantayan & Malapascua, Samal Island & Legaspi – Albay – Sorsogon).
