With 20 years of experience in China, Shaun has a deep understanding of the country and its property market. Ms. Lydia Li is the Regional General Manager, Ascott West China, and is responsible for the overall operations, business development and asset management services of the properties in the region. The Ascott Limited ("Ascott") is a wholly owned subsidiary of CapitaLand, the world's largest international serviced residence owner and operator.

Ms. Li, with 12 years of experience in hospitality industry since graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Master of Computing (Information Systems), joined Ascott China in 2015. Jean-Charles first joined Club Med as Regional Operations Director Mountain, France in 2002, managing five holiday resorts.
After which Jean-Charles was posted to Singapore from 2006 as Regional Operations Director South East Asia for three years managing seven holiday resorts. He was then based in Turkey for 6 years as Vice President (VP) of Operations for Club Med Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Oman, Mauritius from 2009 managing eight holiday resorts and four country offices mainly in Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Mauritius & Cairo.
Since May 2015, he returned to Singapore as VP of Operations for East and South Asia & Pacific, & VP of Sales Emerging Countries of South East Asia managing nine holiday resorts and six Commercial Countries across Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and India.
Upon the mutualisation of Club Med Asia-Pacific’s organisation, effective 1 July 2019, Jean-Charles will be based in Shanghai.
A French national, armed with 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry graduated with a higher degree diploma in hospitality & catering of St Quentin en Yvelines, France. Jean-Charles was also a French Foreign Trade advisor with HE Ambassador in Turkey. He speaks fluent English and has a flair for German.
Jean-Charles is married with 3 children and enjoys his Bordeaux wine. He is an avid tennis player, football player and golfer.

Dr. Sacha Stöcklin (EdD)

Dr. Stöcklin is a hospitality industry expert and a qualified teacher with experiences in food and beverage, and hotel administration. He has over 20 years of work experience as a hospitality educator. Before establishing CieCAS, Dr. Stöcklin was managing departments in a variety of service industries, and taught at many prestigious hotel management schools including Les Roches, Swiss Hotel Management School, and Hotel Institute Montreux.
Dr. Stöcklin holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) with focus on Educational Management (2013) and is Certified Hospitality Educator since 2003. He has also earned an MBA from Heriot Watt University, Scotland (2006); and a BBA in Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management from Northwood University, USA (2000).
Dr. Stöcklin researches knowledge-oriented approaches from education to organizational behavior issues through economic and cognitive psychological perspectives. His most important achievement in this area was the publication: “Educational Strategies for the Next Generation of Leaders in Hotel Management” as a co-author and chapter contributor. This book, released in 2015, is a collection of hospitality topics addressing the future trends of the hospitality industry.
Dr. Stöcklin is of Swiss orgin, lived, studied and worked in the US for 5 years, and is now based in China since 2008. He speaks German, English, French, and has a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese.

Steve Saxon is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Shenzhen office. Steve joined McKinsey in London in 2000, and transferred to Asia in 2005. He leads McKinsey’s Travel practice for Asia.Steve has worked across the travel value chain. He has supported over ten airlines across Asia Pacific, and has worked with LCCs and mainline carriers.
